Puck wall is a relatively new system. This new material allows flexible merchandising on both the walls and on floor fixtures by using easy to change hardware display components. The finished wall creates an architectural element of interest that recessed standards or slat walls cannot provide.

The walls for the fixtures are manufactured from a variety of materials, and then machine milled silver pucks attach to the wall at predetermined intervals. Hardware is hanged from the pucks to create an attractive, upscale display system.

This design is part of the benefit of puck wall fixtures. The downside of the puck wall system is that the cost is more significant than it is for most other systems. The cost does depend on the panel material selected and the specific placement of the pucks.

The typical size of the puck wall panels is up to 4 feet by 8 feet. The panels can be finished in either stained wood veneers or virtually any plastic or metal laminate. The edges are left unfinished for mounting side-by-side or trimmed to match.

The panels are designed to attach to walls by using either screws or cleats. The pucks on the walls are silver, machine milled one inch or one and one-quarter inch diameter metal pucks. The pucks are screwed into predetermined locations on the panels. They are typically set at six inch, eight inch or twelve inch centers to optimize flexibility.

The hardware that will be included with puck wall displays are the waterfalls, face outs, shelf brackets and shelves, hand bars and sign holders. These items are available in either powder coated or chrome finishes.

If you plan to purchase your displays in small quantities, you should be aware that pricing for puck hardware is much higher than for either slat wall or grid wall displays.
